BambuSC is the short form for Bamboo Association of Santa Catarina, which was founded 2005 in Florianópolis, to develop a sustainable bamboo productive chain in the State of Santa Catarina, Southern Brazil. This goal will be persued with the following tools:

- development of research projects, training courses, seminars, congresses and expositions;

- encouragement and support of standartization activities related to the multiple uses of bamboo and its derived products;

- promotion of technical and cultural exchange events among its associates and also with external entities;

- rendering specialized consulting services;

- publication of books, magazines, films and any other form of publicity;

- promotion of public campaigns.
